Freedom of the Seas

While we are all aware of the recent devastation in Puerto Rico and St Maarten, Royal Caribbean has already began sailing departures from San Juan, and plans to have both Puerto Rico and St Maarten back on full port-of-call status by the end of this year.  Although it will take years for the people of both islands to fully recover, it is imperative that their tourism-driven economies are up and running as quickly as possible, and we look forward to this absolutely amazing itinerary.

The Stunning Islands of the Southern Caribbean

Departing from San Juan allows us to reach islands usually out of the range of a US-based 7-day departure, and this amazing itinerary brings us to ports of call we have never visited in all of our prior years, including quite a few European-influenced locations. Our first small group Spring cruise to the Caribbean will give us full day visits to six stunning Caribbean islands on a ship that offers more options than you can possibly imagine… but you may just want to grab a spot to relax and watch it all glide by.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

San Juan, Puerto Rico’s capital and largest city, sits on the island’s Atlantic coast. Its widest beach fronts the Isla Verde resort strip, known for its bars, nightclubs and casinos. Cobblestoned Old San Juan features colorful Spanish colonial buildings and 16th-century landmarks including El Morro and La Fortaleza, massive fortresses with sweeping ocean views, as well as the Paseo de la Princesa bayside promenade.

St. Maarten

St. Maarten, part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, is a country on the southern part of a Caribbean island shared with Saint Martin, a French overseas collectivity. Its natural features span lagoons, beaches and salt pans. The capital, Philipsburg, has cobblestone streets and colorful, colonial-style buildings lining its Front Street shopping area.

St. Kitts and Nevis

Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island nation situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. It’s known for cloud-shrouded mountains and beaches. Many of its former sugar plantations now operates as inns or atmospheric ruins. The larger of the 2 islands, Saint Kitts, is dominated by the dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano, home to a crater lake, green vervet monkeys and a lush rainforest crisscrossed with hiking trails.

Antigua

Antigua, also known as Waladli or Wadadli by the native population, is an island in the West Indies. It is one of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean region and the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. The island has warm, steady winds, a complex coastline of safe harbors, and a protective, nearly unbroken wall of coral reef. In 1784 the legendary Admiral Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua and established Great Britain’s most important Caribbean base. Little did he know that over 200 years later the same unique characteristics that attracted the Royal Navy would transform Antigua and Barbuda into one of the Caribbean’s premier tourist destinations.

St. Lucia

Saint Lucia is an Eastern Caribbean island nation with a pair of dramatically tapered mountains, the Pitons, on its west coast. Its coast is home to volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts and fishing villages. Trails in the interior rainforest lead to waterfalls like the 15m-high Toraille, which pours over a cliff into a garden.

CCBOY 2018

CCBOYCCBOY 2018 (formerly Chubs In Paradise) is a fun weekend for Chubs, Chasers, Bears, Older and Younger guys.  We celebrated 10 years in 2017 and look forward to many more to come. The event happens March 1st to 4th and provides a fun weekend for guys who want to take a break from the long winter.

We offer a solid value for your event dollar. We have all seen those events where we pay a ton just for the “privilege” of sitting by the pool, buy overpriced drinks and wish someone would put some pretzels out before we starve. At CCBOY we offer a lot more.

Thursday evening happy hours, Friday luncheon, Friday night Belly Contest, Saturday Charity Pool Party, Sunday Ice Cream Social… all part of your registration.

We want you to get your bang for your buck! The Ramada Oakland Park Inn is very close to the best gay community in the East, Wilton Manors. They have a great pool area surrounded by the rooms, and a tiki bar that serves all your refreshment desires.

Our main sponsor, Rumors Bar & Grill, is home to all the big gay events, right on Wilton Drive and they really know how to make our guys feel welcome.

Make your plans now. March 1-4, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, it’s the best time of year to visit.

Bear Your Soul: Winter Hibernation 2018

Bear Your SoulBreak the cold and lonely spell of winter with four amazing days of connection, play, and discovery with men just like you who are looking for the perfect thaw. Bear Your Soul: Winter Hibernation brings together men of all shapes, colors, sizes, and abilities, in order to build and foster a stronger bear community. We take the idea of a Bear Run, with food, music, sauna and hot tub, time to connect and play, and add connecting growth experiences that explore masculinity, body image, healing touch, and much more.

Bear Your Soul: Winter Hibernation offers workshops and discussions that allow men to connect more deeply with themselves and one another. Our unique Loving Our Bear Bodies workshop, for example, leads participants through a shared yet personal journey of discovering the beauty in diverse shapes, colors and sizes of “bear bodies”, in the healing embrace of your brothers.

Our goals are to foster a sense of radical acceptance, help one another to let go of shame, and become comfortable with our full and true selves. We honor the body, mind and spirit of all of our brothers. We value heart centered interaction, authenticity, respect for ourselves and others, healthy sex positivity and inclusion.

January 12th to 15th in Greenwich, New York, a circle of men who are ready to break out of winter’s frost is forming by the warm fire. And there is a place just for you. We’ve created four days that let you CONNECT, PLAY, and DISCOVER:

  • Relish rich conversation at home cooked family-style feasts
  • Dive into a guided cuddle party and feel the love
  • Connect with other men through massage class
  • Lounge with new friends in the hot tub or by the fire
  • Express yourself through art, music, and storytelling workshops
  • Embrace your self in the “Loving Our Bear Bodies” workshop
  • Step into your inner hero through guided meditation
  • Revel in your tribe in a special drumming and fire ritual
  • Dance the night away at our Sunday night Bear Dance
  • Enjoy great music, food and fellowship at a closing brunch
